have you tested the ka2100 against the ge superradio III ?

Hi Jeff,

I find FM reception better on the Kaito though excellent on the Superadio. AM Reception is practically identical but tuning much easier with the Kaito because it is digital. The large speaker on the Superadio makes it easy on the ears. The Superadio is around half the price of the Kaito as well so if I had to take a radio into the field (away from the house) such as tailgating or just in the back yard it would probably be the Superadio plus batteries seem to last forever in the Superadio.

Great question. Both are fantastic radios and each has a place in my home.

Regards,
Lake

You said that you had some tips for improving the Sangean DT-200VX. I have not been able to find them on your website and was wandering if you could go over them for me or tell me where to find them.

Hi Travis,

Sorry I have taken forever to respond. Most of the tips I have involve using external antennas and the more I thought about it I realized it was far more efficient to just buy a good portable radio even if it is in additional to the personal radio. However, one thing is to make sure you have a good set of headphones (like the recommended Sennheisers) which make a lot of difference.
