The Best Home FM Tuner?

Easily, the best value in a home FM tuner is the Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner. It is available almost everywhere for under $100 the FM reception characteristics are equivalent to the best sub-$1000 tuners available. The reviews have been amazing. The reviews of the Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner have shown consistent results.

The Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner we are using is mounted inside with a dipole from FM DX Antenna Co mounted in the attic and this tuner far out-performs a Grundig 4000 that generally gets everything out there. It picks up stations in stereo that the Grundig can’t hear at all.  The Sony XDRF1HD HD Radio Tuner does not have a built-in amplifier for speakers or headphones so you must provide your own but it can easily be connected to your current receiver or amplifier; ours is connected to the line input on our computer sound card for listening and recording purposes and works beautifully.
